Raystown Developmental Services (RDS) has been serving the counties of Lewistown, Mifflin, and Juniata since 1983.


RDS provides a vast array of services to Adults with intellectual disabilities. Our Residential Program serves individuals with intellectual disabilities who reside in group homes. Staff assist individuals to maximize choice, daily living skills and community integration. RDS also provides day program services at our Adult Training Facility where individuals focus on skill building and community integration. In addition, RDS facilitates Home & Community based services to help assist individuals with intellectual disabilities to help increase their independence and personal skills in their home and to access their community.


SUMMARY:

The Family Services Manager will oversee a variety of Family Services Programs, to be determined by the Family Services Director.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the work of assigned professional staff. Provide supervision for the development of service plans; establishment of goals, objectives, and activities to achieve goals; and assigning responsibilities for specific goals.
• Monitor units of service compared to cost/revenue; productivity by individual caseworkers and family service staff; productivity by unit of service; timeliness, completeness. Assures compliance with payer regulations. Provide reports as required/requested.
• Formulate and evaluate on a continuous basis the policies, goals, and standards of the programs; develops methods and mechanisms for the evaluation of the overall effectiveness of the service delivery system and programs.
• Ensure positive public relations by serving as a representative on local human services committees; attending meetings as scheduled; supporting clients; and being knowledgeable about the family and community.
• Assist director in completion and updates of program descriptions, program policies and procedures, and staff training plans.
• Supervise the administration of all aspects of the service delivery system; assure compliance with regulations regarding documentation of consumer records, standards of confidentiality, and continuity of care.
• Ensure programs are adequately staffed to provide quality services. Verify hours submitted to payroll and monitoring overtime closely.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors/managers, individuals, family members, staff and other service providers.
• Attend work as scheduled. Attend meetings/trainings as required. Complete on-line trainings as assigned.
• Provide afterhours support to staff and funding sources.
• Perform related work as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field and three to five years experience in the field of case management
• Valid driver’s license.
