For over 25 years Choices Group Inc. has been of the largest Behavioral Health Treatment Agencies in Nevada. We provide Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Co-occurring Treatment Services for clients in the Criminal Justice Systems, Medicaid and private insurance in an outpatient treatment setting.     We are practicum/ Intern sites for UNLV, UNR and for internships with the Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Gambling Counselors, The Nevada Marriage and Family Therapist Board and the Nevada Board of Social Work. SUMMARY

An Office Assistant II that can provide a broad range of office support to program staff and management ranging from answering and directing phone calls, greeting clients, vendors and other visitors, handling faxes and mail, photocopying, maintaining and ordering office supplies, scheduling meetings and appointments, preparing correspondence and spreadsheets, preparing invoices for payment, preparing and maintaining tracking reports and files, and special projects as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s Degree preferred in business or technical school
  • Two (2) years secretarial or general office experience with a working knowledge of modern office methods and procedures including filing systems, receptionist and telephone techniques, and letter and report writing
  • Must have excellent phone manner, good arithmetic skills and excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills
  • Advanced level PC skills required

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Any or all of above duties and responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains varied tracking reports
  • May write own correspondence and prepares correspondence for management
  • Interfaces with clients, vendors, visitors to schedule appointments and resolve office administration issues
  • May handle or assist with billing to clients or MediCal and MediCare
  • Researches and prepares special projects as assigned
  • Provide the best customer care possible, including reliability in working scheduled hours
  • Identify and build upon the strengths of consumers, coworkers, and the communities we serve
  • Support consumers’ steps towards Recovery and Wellness
  • Create an organizational culture that respects and celebrates the diversity of our consumers
  • Value learning as an ongoing process that enables us to better service our consumers and establishes our leadership in the industry
