The Director of School Based Services will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of all activities related to the Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) program. The Director of School Based Services makes sure that all TDT sites are adequately staffed, while complying with licensing and insurance standards. The director maintains a current comprehensive list of all TDT sites, specialists, current clients and potential clients. Regularly informs the Regional Director and Clinical Director of current staffing needs as well as clinical and operational issues. The Director works with the Coordinators of School Based Services (CSBS) to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all clinical records. 

Position Duties:

  • Facilitates a weekly team meeting for Coordinators of School Based Services.
  • Participates in Regional Leadership Team meetings.
  • Markets TDT to new potential TDT sites.
  • Assists in the start-up of new TDT sites.
  • Tracks all incident reports for TDT and keeps the Clinical Director and Regional Director fully informed.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of supplies kept at each school site.
  • Ensures that all staff are trained in Skillstreaming and that data is being collected and recorded in order to determine outcomes for reporting purposes.
  • Works with the Regional Director/ Coordinator to make sure that TDT sites have the equipment and supplies needed to operate their yearly and summer programs.
  • Coordinates plans for summer programs and the beginning and ending of school.
  • Ensures that TDT notes flow through the review process in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with School Administrators to ensure the delivery of quality services.
  • Works with CSBS to maintain a strong cooperative relationship with school site administrators as well as city or county school administrations.
  • Oversees TDT Payroll process.
  • Trains new SBS Coordinators and TDT employees.
  • Coordinates the referral and assessment assignment process.
  • Authorize CSBS leave requests.
  • Implements progressive discipline and adheres to HR protocols in collaboration with Regional Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Human Services related fields and/or licensure or working towards licensure with a registered and approved supervisor on file. Commensurate level of experience in providing counseling services to youth and their families as well as supervisory experience. Demonstrated proficiency in supervisory and clinical skills. Proof of education and credentials will be required prior to employment.
