Since our inception in 1992, Family Preservation Services (FPS) of Virginia has been a leader and innovator in the development of community-based services here in the Commonwealth of Virginia. FPS of Virginia currently operates 30 office sites, each designed to meet the unique needs of each community through the integration and use of evidence based and trauma-informed practices. With more than 900 employees servicing more than 3,000 individuals and families each year, FPS is the largest private provider of community based services in Virginia.
As a leader in the area of mental health and behavioral health services, Family Preservation Services of Virginia, with the support and collective expertise of our global parent company, Pathways by Molina, will continue our commitment to promoting positive change in the individuals, families and communities we impact each day.
We are seeking a Regional Coordinator. This position is responsible for part or all of the triadic balance of a region’s developmental, clinical, and fiscal needs as assigned by the Regional Director. The Regional coordinator will be assisting the Regional Director in supervising the clinical director, other program directors, as well as administrative personnel, who assist with the operation of a region. However, the stability of the region, services rendered, and reputation of the region remains the primary responsibility of the Regional Director. The Regional Coordinator is expected to work in a harmonious and cooperative manner with the RD with the full understanding that the principal regional leader is the Regional Director. When the Regional Director is not present in the regional office the Regional Coordinator is in charge of the region. The Regional Coordinator position serves a two-fold purpose. It is part of VA’s leadership development and succession program for the Regional Director position for a specific region. The Regional Coordinator maintains their current Directorship role and the responsibilities therein, although it may be somewhat modified, while they are in the position of Regional Coordinator. It is not automatic that an Regional Coordinator will become the Regional Director of a region nor is any time frame promised for that possibility.
A Regional Coordinator must have at least a Master’s degree in a clinical field. Professional licensure is preferred. Three to five years of experience in an FPS Program Director role where the RC has demonstrated excellent leadership and built a financially successful, strength based clinical program respected and known in the community.
