Pathways by Molina is seeking an innovative and purpose driven individual to join our team as a Bilingual Spanish Clinical Manager for our Camino Nuevo Adult Recovery Center.

Camino Nuevo Adult Recovery Center provides recovery oriented services for Medi-Cal eligible adults (18 and over) with a serious and persistent mental illness living in Orange County. Consumers must be Latino and are referred through the Orange County Health Care Agency. Services provided are coordinated, effective and comprehensive. Camino Nuevo provides all services in Spanish and English and all staff are bicultural/bilingual. Camino Nuevo provides Evaluation & Assessment Services, Psychiatric Treatment Planning, Psychiatric Follow-Up Care, Individual & Group Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Intensive Case Management, Medication Support, Family Support & Education, Recreational & Clubhouse Activities, Vocational & Educational Support, Referrals to Community Resources, and Weekly Consumer Advisory Board Meetings.

 

SUMMARY

The Clinical Manager provides leadership to an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative outpatient behavioral health setting to maximize client independence and family empowerment. The Clinical Manager reports directly to the Program Director and is responsible for client intake and assessments, BBS supervision of pre-licensed staff, staff performance evaluation, and clinical and case management supervision to all team members. The Clinical Manager is responsible to ensure the team is in compliance with State and Federal documentation, HIPAA, and Agency requirements. The Clinical Manager works collaboratively with the program administrators and administrative staff to ensure processes that maximize program efficiency and overall success.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or relative field, or Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited college or University
  •  Must be a licensed (2 years Preferred) LCSW, MFT or licensed by the appropriate Board as a Clinical Psychologist
  •  Must have Direct Clinical and Case Management experience, Group Leadership experience and knowledge regarding rehabilitation philosophy
  •  Two years Post-Licensure experience preferred and/or a minimum of five years of experience with inpatient, outpatient, and/or mental health care
  •  Short Doyle knowledge preferred.
  •  Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and direct work of others and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Bilingual Spanish
  •  Intermediate level PC skills required


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the provision of individual and group counseling services to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, vocational development and adjustment\
  •  Assures compliance with Company policy and government regulations
  •  Oversees all aspects of the clinical services of a clinic
  •  Supervises the work of clinical staff with management in-put for hiring, performance appraisals and management, professional development, training, and recommending personnel actions such as salary increases and promotions
  •  Consults with superior on a regular basis to keep her/him up-to-date on program performance and needs
  •  Facilitates regular meetings to ensure staff is kept well informed and provides treatment team leadership
  •  Provides direct client care as assigned, which may include individual, family, group therapies, discharge planning, and phone contacts to parents and referral sources
  •  Coordinates with outside clinicians, medical director, and/or nurse regarding client treatment issues, professional consultations, or medication evaluations
  •  Completes and submits to superiors all required reporting to include Quality Assurance reports
  •  Completes utilization reviews on program clients and documents appropriately
  •  Collaborates with Program Director for the establishment of clinical program content and delivery of service
  •  Audits client charts regarding clinical documentation
  •  May provide consultation/education to community service clubs, organizations, human service agencies, hospitals, and various county departments
  •  Participates in program development and interacts with other staff regarding difficult cases and psychiatric emergencies
  •  Responsible for adhering to department budget and may participate in development of such
  •  Performs administrative functions consistent with the needs of the program
  •  Participates in program staff and planning meetings as required
  •  Other duties as assigned or necessary to support your department and/or the company
  • Reports to Clinic Administrator for operational issues and medical director for therapeutic issues
